Kenya Railways has temporarily halted the Nanyuki Safari Train due to the persisting heavy rainfall.
According to the agency, a portion of the railway near the Thika – Mitubiri area was damaged, resulting in the interruption.
Due to the disturbance, the authority declared that the Nanyuki Safari train would not be operational for travellers on Friday, April 19, 2024.
Kenya Railways stated that technical teams were already on the ground to address the situation and restore order as soon as possible.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and look forward to having you back on board upon normal resumption of service,” said Kenya Railways.
