Three detectives drawn from Kenya's Directorate of Criminal Investigations' Homicide Department are currently in the United States on advanced training in Homicide investigations.
The three Fredrick Odemba, Vincent Langat and Patrick Wachira, selected from the country's top cream in investigating the death, have been in New Orleans, Louisiana, for one week, under the auspices of the International Homicide Investigators Association (IHIA).
The training has brought together an elite group of professionals from around the world, representing all death investigation disciplines. IHIA's membership includes highly respected death and homicide investigators, criminal behaviourists, forensic scientists, crime scene technicians, and crime and intelligence analysts, who are foremost experts in their respective fields and disciplines.
The experience acquired by the detectives in training will undoubtedly go a long way in assisting the Directorate in solving homicide cases expeditiously and delivering justice to victims of crime.©Standard Gazette, 2021.
