Kenyan doctor alleged to have killed his children dies

James Gakara, a Kenyan doctor accused of killing his two children in Nakuru, northwest of Nairobi, announced the police.

Dr. Gakara breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Nakuru Level 5 Hospital.

The deceased is suspected of having killed his two children, aged 3 and 5, before trying to take away his life.

He reportedly injected the minors with the insulin.

While children’s bodies were discovered with froth seeping from their mouths, the doctor was found lying unconscious on his bed.

Gakara was alleged to have engaged in a fight with his wife a night before the horrendous incident, a claim his sister denied.

"The tragedy has been too much to bear for the family because my brother is such a humble person who rarely gets into conflicts with people. We are very shocked at what happened, we feel like it is a bad nightmare and we want the dream to end," said Mary Gakara.
