Kenyan journalist Gatonye Gathura who went missing last month has been found dead.
The deceased’s body was discovered Naivasha Sub-County Referral Hospital morgue, North West of Nairobi.
The Health and Science journalist was reported missing on October 26.
According to the police, Gathura’s body was booked at the facility by an unknown person.
Preliminary reports indicate that the scribe’s body was found dumped along Naivasha-Maai Mahia road the day he was reported missing.
“His death is being treated as murder.” “We believe he was murdered elsewhere and his body was dumped in Naivasha,” police said.
Gathura previously worked for the local dailies, The Standard and Nation.
Until his death, he operated rocketsciences.co.ke which touched on reproductive health, Covid-19, mental health, common diseases, health research, etc.
