Kenyan detectives have launched an investigation to establish what might have triggered a police officer to take away his life.
Charles Maina Wachira,42, committed suicide within Cianda Police Patrol Base on Monday morning under a mysterious circumstance.
The deceased’s body was found hanging from ventilation in his house within the Cianda Police Patrol Baseline using a bag carrier belt.
Preliminary investigations show that there were no visible injuries on his body.
The body was transferred to a nearby morgue awaiting autopsy.
Elsewhere, a form four student committed suicide on the same day in Tulwet village, Kenya’s Rift Valley.
The lifeless body of the 20-year-old student was found dangling in his house by his parents.
He was expected to report back to school on the same day after the half-term break.
In a suicide note, the deceased indicated he was battling depression.
