A police officer shot and wounded his two colleagues before turning the gun on himself in Endebes, Trans Nzoia County, Kenya’s Rift Valley on Tuesday.

Benard Saitoti Salunya and Evans Kioko Muli were shot in the face, while the offender shot himself through the lower jaw, exiting through the forehead and killed him instantly.

According to Endebess police chief Salesioh Murithi, the motivation for the shooting is unknown.

Prior to the shooting, there was no disagreement between the cops, said Murithi.

However, he suspects there were issues that were affecting the deceased.

“We are yet to establish the motive behind the shooting,” he said.

The injured officers were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Police have launched probe into the matter.
