Kenyan Troops Recover Lost Cattle In Eastern DRC

The Kenyan Contingent in the Democratic Republic of Congo has recovered lost cattle in the Eastern part of the Central African country.

In a statement, Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) said the locals at Kibumba reported to the Kenyan Contingent-East Africa Community Regional Force (EACRF) at Kibumba Centre, a loss of cattle at the Rwanda – Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) border while grazing.

The local security mechanism in place was activated, and the herd of cattle was located 10km south of Kibumba.

"EACRF joint night efforts with DRC security forces led to the herd's recovery, and the same was handed over to the owners after verification," said KDF.

The regional force appreciated the security agencies, locals, and the administration's collective efforts and encouraged all populace to embrace peaceful coexistence for socioeconomic development.
