An autopsy examination revealed that Kenya’s Bomet University Student Maryanne Wangari was strangled to death.

The exercise was conducted by Longisa Referral Hospital’s Medical Superintendent, Dr. Weldon Kirui.

“The findings indicate that the student died as a result of strangulation, and there were also other findings from the genitalia with widespread lacerations. No other injuries were discovered in the body,” stated Dr.

Weldon Korir.

The body of the 22-year-old was found floating in a river in the outskirts of Bomet town, Kenya’s South Rift after she went missing last week.

Bashir Ali, deputy police chief of Bomet Central, said four male students and a lady are being questioned about the incident.
