Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) has advised public members to be alert about fake jobs and tenders advertised by scammers.
In a statement, KTDA said the cons have registered fake domain names (websites) intended to resemble the KTDA domain, which they use to defraud unsuspecting users.
They also use fake KTDA letterheads and stamps to dupe the public.
“It has come to our attention that unscrupulous individuals are offering fake tenders and job s to unsuspecting individuals in the name of KTDA and its managed factories,” read the statement.
KTDA informed the public that all job opportunities and tenders are advertised in national newspapers and the official KTDA website, www.
ktdateas.com.
The agency further revealed that it does not ask for payment at any stage of recruitment and asked job seekers the extra careful.
“We request prospective job seekers and tenderers to be vigilant to avoid falling victim to fraud,” read the statement further.
