Kenya’s Opponents In The CECAFA Tournament Revealed

Kenya has been pooled alongside Djibouti and South Sudan in Group C in the upcoming Cecafa under-23 showpiece.

Cecafa tournament is a competition that brings together teams in East and Central Africa. This year’s tourney will be held in Ethiopia from July 18-30.

Group A consists of the defending champions Uganda, Tanzania, and the DRC, whereas Group B comprises Ethiopia, Burundi, and Eritrea.

Somalia and Rwanda pulled out of the competition at the eleventh hour due to a spike in Covid-19 cases that hindered them from building a team.

Kenya will face Djibouti on July 19 before square it out with South Sudan three days later.

Top teams in the three groups and one best-placed runner-up will proceed to the semi-final.
