Kenya’s ruling outfit, Kenya Kwanza, on Wednesday, unveiled a 5-member team for bipartisan talks with the opposition, Azimio.
The 5-member team entails the National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa and his Senate counterpart Aaron Cheruiyot.
The rest are Governor Cecily Mbarire, former Senator Hassan Omar and Catherine Wambilianga.

Other agenda are the establishment of the opposition leader’s official office, the entrenchment of the Constituency Development Fund, and the embedding of the Prime Cabinet Secretary’s office.
On the other hand, the opposition will be represented by Kalonzo Musyoka, Opiyo Wandayi, Eugene Wamalwa, Senator Okong’o Omogeni and MP Amina Mnyazi.
The issues raised by the opposition party are the high cost of living, a review of the 2022 General Election, reorganization of Kenya’s electoral body (IEBC), constitutional respect for political parties, and inclusion in governmental operations.
