Ofafa Jericho High School in Nairobi has been closed down for three days following a fire incident that injured 50 students.
The learning suspension will pave the way for the investigation into the fire incident that ravaged the school’s dormitory on Monday night.
Police officers and fire investigators have arrived in the institution to find out what might have caused the inferno that destroyed the property of unknown value.
The injured students were reported to have inhaled smoke while trying to put out the fire.
“We received 50 young men reported to have been in a fire incident at their school. They tried to put out the fire and in the process inhaled the smoke. Most of them have suffered smoke inhalation attacks,” said Metropolitan Hospital Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Kanyenje Gakombe
