Kenya Airways (KQ) has announced the retirement of its longest-serving employee Dorcas Omengo.
In a statement on Friday, KQ said Dorcas joined the company on July 3, 1989, meaning she has worked for the airline for 33 years and two months.
She served in the Technical department as an Administrative Assistant in the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) section.
“The Technical team organized a farewell party on Omengo’s last day, which coincided with her birthday. In attendance was also her family,” said Kenya Airways.
“Happy retirement, and thank you for your service!” added the airline.
