Man, 44, Mauled To Death By Dogs In Kisumu

A 44-year-old man died on Sunday after being attacked by four German Shephard dogs in Rabuor, Kisumu County, some kilometres from Lake Victoria.

The deceased, David Ondere Opinya, was bitten by the dogs on the neck, lower right arm, and other body parts. He was reported to have succumbed to injuries.
Angry neighbours later turned against the dogs and killed them.

"On receiving the message from the neighbour, the owner of the dogs fled to the police station for his safety," reads the police report.

He is currently held behind bars pending investigations.
Meanwhile, angry public members entered his homestead to destroy it, but local administration officials and police officers intervened to save the situation.
