A court in Homa Bay, Kenya’s Western, has sentenced a 54-year-old man to life imprisonment for defiling an 11-year-old girl.
Samuel Odie is accused of committing the offence in 2020 at Luanda village, Ndhiwa Sub County, Homabay County.
Moses Okerosi of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) led the case and called six witnesses to testify against the accused.
Murangasia, the Ndhiwa Law Courts Resident Magistrate, stated that the court was satisfied with the witnesses’ testimony.
