Police in Kaimosi, Nandi county, Kenya's Rift Valley, are looking for a 17-year-old suspect who killed his cousin on Sunday evening following an argument over charging a mobile phone.

Josphat Kibet, 31, was pronounced dead on arrival at Kapsabet County Referral hospital from an arrow wound inflicted on him by the juvenile.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the two had argued over who would charge their phone first before the young man reached for an arrow and stabbed the deceased on the left side of his chest before taking off.

"A manhunt for the suspect is currently ongoing," said the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
