A man alleged to have killed his lover before setting his body ablaze in Nyandarua, central Kenya, has been arrested.
Titus Nderitu Gichohi is accused of murdering his lover at her home and then moved her body to his home, where he allegedly set fire to any evidence linking him to the crime.
The suspect was nabbed in Kasarani in the outskirts of Nairobi as he attempted to flee.

“Analysis of the scenes suggests that the victim was murdered in her home, and her body was moved to the secondary scene, where the suspect burned it in an attempt to destroy evidence,” said the police.
The deceased went missing forcing the police to suspect she was abducted.
As the investigations were ongoing, the locals raised an alarm that they had spotted the deceased’s car at the suspect’s home.
This prompted detectives to go to the scene, where they discovered the victim’s body, which was still burning and completely charred.
Upon the completion of the investigation, Gichohi will be arraigned in court and charged with murder.
