A 40-year-old man on Monday surrendered to police after killing his wife for selling beans without consulting him in a village in Kirinyaga County, central Kenya.
According to residents, he began fighting with his wife when he discovered she sold the beans they harvested together and eventually killed her.
The locals found the deceased’s body lying in a pool of blood in their kitchen. It was taken to the mortuary pending postmortem.
Meanwhile, the suspect is being held in police custody pending investigations. He will be arraigned in the court of law and charged with murder.
