Police in Kenya are in hot pursuit of a 24-year-old man reported to have stabbed his mother to death in Githurai 45, central Kenya.
Eric Kamau struck his mother, Mary Wanja, 49, with a knife following a quarrel that ensued between them.
The suspect’s twin brother was also severely injured during the altercation as he tried to save his mother. He is fighting his life in the hospital.

Police reports indicate that the deceased came to visit his sons only for the suspect to disappear and show up later drunk.
“Investigations indicate that the suspect has mental issues and was always fighting with his mother. He returned home drunk and after an altercation with his mother, he took a knife and stabbed her twice in the neck and right hand,” read the police report.
Neighbours described the suspect, who is on the run, as unruly and never listen to anyone.
