The body of a 57-year-old man was on Wednesday evening discovered in a Parkland hotel, Nairobi.

According to the hotel management, Naajam Masood had booked the room on April 2 and has been staying there alone until Wednesday evening when the body was found.

The deceased is suspected to have committed suicide.

Police have launched an investigation to establish whether the man died by suicide or was killed somewhere and body dumped in the room.

The body was transferred to morgue pending an autopsy.

This comes barely two weeks after a Chinese man was found dead in the bathroom of his hotel room in Lavington, Nairobi.

The body of Zhou Yadi, a manager at a construction company building the Lamu-Garissa highway, was found on Saturday, March 26, 2022.

A piece of cloth was found tied around his neck, signaling that he was strangled.

Preliminary reports showed that the scene was messy and there were signs of struggle therein which probably led to the murder.
