A middle-aged man has been confirmed dead after jumping from the second floor at the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) offices in Lake Basin Mall, Kisumu.
Confirming the incident, KRA said the man sadly passed away shortly after the fall. The authority expressed its deep sorrow over the incident and offered sincere condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
“The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) confirms that a tragic incident occurred today at our offices in Lake Basin Mall, Kisumu. A middle-aged man jumped from the second floor, sustained serious injuries, and unfortunately succumbed,” part of the statement read.
The tax authority also mentioned that the incident has been reported to the appropriate authorities, and investigations are currently underway to uncover the details surrounding this tragedy.
KRA assured that they are fully cooperating with law enforcement to support the ongoing inquiries.
