The cabinet Secretary for public service, Moses Kuria, in partnership with the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Central Region Zone, is set to launch the inaugural Moses Kuria Peace Cup on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Kinoru Stadium, Meru.
The tournament brings together teams representing 66 constituencies drawn from 11 counties. The winner will take home Ksh5 million ($35087)
The runner-up will earn Ksh3 million ($21053), while the second-runner-up will earn Ksh1 million ($7017). Furthermore, all participating teams will be given a grant of Ksh100,000 (2).

“As the NEC member of Central region, I thank the cabinet Secretary for public service Moses Kuria for prioritizing us. This funding could have been directed to other sports disciplines like volleyball, athletics or boxing but he opted for football and for that we are grateful,” said FKF National Executive Committee (NEC) Central region representative Davis Chege.
Participating teams have been placed in 8 groups, with the winners and runners-up automatically set to proceed to the last 16 set to be played on April 27.
So far, three rounds of matches have been played, with the last group matches to be played on April 13, 2024.
The quarter-finals will be staged on May 4-5, while semis are scheduled to be between May 18 and 25.
The third-place play-off and final matches are slated for June 2, 2024, at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru, Northwest of Nairobi.
