Kenyan legislator Babu Owino was on Friday released on Ksh100,000 ($705) cash bail by the Milimani Court in Nairobi.
MP Owano was charged with supporting the anti-government protests that have been ongoing in the country.
According to the prosecution, he planned to commit subversive activities alongside other opposition leaders and supporters.

The lawmaker was apprehended at Jomo Kenyatta Int ernational Airport (JKIA) on Tuesday night and transferred to Wang’uru Police Station in Mwea, Central Kenya.
He was moved to the Nairobi Area Traffic Police Headquarters on Thursday after his family and lawyers stormed the Wang’uru station to demand his release.
