Wanted murder suspect Kevin Kinyanjui Kang’ethe, who escaped from police custody on February 7, 2024, has been re-arrested.
The escapee was nabbed by detectives last night following a scrupulous intelligence-led operation within Ngong township in Kajiado County, southwest of Nairobi.
The murder suspect had escaped from Muthaiga Police Station, where he was being held awaiting extradition to the United States to answer to the murder charge.

Kevin is suspected of committing First Degree Murder, which is a violation of US laws.
According to the allegation, on October 31, 2023, in Massachusetts, he was accused of killing Margaret Mbitu by stabbing her in the face and neck multiple times.
He is believed to have then left her body inside a secured vehicle in a parking lot at Boston Logan International Airport.
The suspect and the late Margaret Mbitu, a home healthcare aid in Halifax, Massachusetts, are believed to have been in a relationship before the suspect allegedly turned on her while on a trip to Lowell.
