National Assembly Conducts Staff Sports Day

Kenya's National Assembly Management, in conjunction with the staff wellness Committee, has organized a National Assembly staff sports today, November 4, 2022, at the ABSA Sports Club in Ruaraka. Nairobi.

The goals and objectives of the games are to enable officers to network and socialize; to team build and know and understand each other better; to enhance communication and work relationships amongst officers, and to collaborate and foster innovation and creativity.

Other objectives are to encourage celebration, team spirit, fun and motivation; wellness of individual officers; and select National Assembly teams to participate in the Parliamentary Staff games that will be held in Juba, South Sudan.

Among the games the staff are participating in include four laps walking race, athletics; 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1,500, both for men and women, netball, volleyball and basketball matches.

There is also javelin, shot put, chess, darts, badminton, swimming, table tennis, women's tug of war and men's tug of war.
