Kenya’s National Police Service on Wednesday joined the whole world to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The NPS said it acknowledges and celebrates the contribution of all female police officers in enforcing law and order in the country.
“We express gratitude to all our female officers as they dedicate their time and effort to go above and beyond their call of duty in executing their roles,” stated the NPS.
The service is committed to tackling any cases of violence against women and girls.
International Women’s Day is an annual event that focuses on recognizing women’s achievements, challenges and struggles worldwide.
It also aims to bring attention to issues such as gender, equality, violence and abuse against women.
