National Police Service has kicked off training for Field Training Exercise (FTX)

The (FTX) 'Ushirikiano Imara 2022' will occur in Jinja, Uganda, between May 27, 2022, and June 16, 2022.

The objective of the training is to bring together East African Community (EAC) partner states' Armed Forces' and other key stakeholders to plan and conduct an integrated mission that encompasses Peace Support Mission (PSO), Disaster Management (DM), Counter-Terrorism (CT) and Counter-Piracy (CP).

The training will help improve capabilities that jointly combat the ever-changing complex security challenges in an austere environment.

Kenya will be represented by the National Police Service. The Integrated contingent has assembled at the 9th Kenya Rifles Battalion (9KR) in Eldoret, Kenya's Rift Valley, under a multi-agency banner "Team FTX Out".
