Kenya’s outgoing Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Noordin Haji, was on Wednesday sworn in as the new Director-General of the National Intelligence Service (NIS).
President William Ruto administered the oath of office to Haji at the State House in Nairobi.
Haji replaces the outgoing Director, Phillip Kameru, who is retiring after serving in the position since 2014.

On Tuesday, June 13, Parliament’s Defence and Foreign Relations Committee supported Haji’s candidacy.
