The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) of Kenya has announced that it will take disciplinary action against a matatu driver who was captured performing dangerous manoeuvres on the road.
In the video, the driver was filmed blocking other vehicles as he struggled to maintain control.
Reacting to the clip, NTSA said the driver risked his life, that of his passengers and other road users.

The authority’s statement emphasized the severe risks associated with such reckless driving behaviour, stressing the possibility of life-threatening accidents.
“UNACCEPTABLE Behavior! This is irresponsible and reckless,” said NTSA.
“In a split second, a catastrophic incident could occur as a result of such behavior. The driver risked his life, that of his passengers and other road users.”
The NTSA additionally stressed that passengers who cheer reckless behavior endanger their own lives.
