The supporters of Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga on Monday morning staged a protest in Migori, the southwestern part of the Country.
The irate demonstrators barricaded roads with stones paralyzing transportation in the area.
They demanded the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), an electoral agency, to open server to establish who won the August 9, 2022, presidential poll.
The protesters also complained about the high cost of living and castigated the government for overtaxing essential products.
The protests are in reaction to an order from Odinga, who issued an ultimatum to the government last week to cut the cost of living, failing which there will be a mass protest.
Odinga also called for a nationwide protest on March 20, 2023. The Former AU envoy claims that last year’s election was rigged in favour of William Ruto.
