Police Arrest Employment Fraudsters

Police have arrested two men who have defrauded tens of Kenyans an unspecified amount of money on the pretext that they were in a position to recruit them into the Kenya Coast Guard service.

Nicholas Chomba and Anthony Mwangi committed the crime between April 3 and June 8, 2022.
The two had placed advertisements on social media inviting applicants to send their applications and even prepared offer letters to some of the 'successful' applicants.

They were arrested separately in Murang'a and Machakos towns following successful investigations on June 29 and July 5, 2022.

"Public members are advised that there is no ongoing recruitment by Kenya Coast Service at the moment," said police.
