Police are investigating an incident where their colleague shot and injured his wife before turning the gun on himself.
The incident occurred on Friday at Bondo Police Station in Siaya County, Southwestern Kenya.
Reports indicate that the deceased, Michael Kyalo, reported to work as usual and was issued with a rifle. Kyalo is said to have headed to his house, where he committed the heinous act instead of his designated post.
The Standard Gazette received information on the officer and wife’s domestic disputes from unnamed sources.
Kyalo’s wife was rushed to hospital for treatment while his body was moved to the mob.
