Police have arrested two suspects possessing contraband milk from Malaysia, whose value is Ksh3 Million ($18378).
The arrest was effected following a raid at Best Buy Commodities Ltd warehouse at Bluesilk Holdings Ltd godowns in Embakasi, Nairobi.
During the raid, detectives recovered more than ten thousand tins of various milk products from Saudi Arabia, such as Luna Full Cream, Luna Sweetened Condensed Milk, Luna evaporated Milk Karak, Cardamum and Full Cream, among others.
“The operation to rid the nation of contrabands and ensure food safety has heightened with security teams furthering major crackdowns on business operators out to gamble with human life,” said the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
“The latest operation carried out earlier today at Best Buy Commodities Ltd warehouse located at Bluesilk Holdings Ltd godowns in Embakasi, Nairobi.

The suspects are being processed for arraignment.
Two days ago, authorities in Nairobi’s Eastleigh seized more milk products worth approximately Ksh10 million from Amana Wholesalers Ltd.
Seven people were arrested and later charged with the previous seizure of milk products.
They were released on a Ksh2 million ($12252) bond.
