The Multi-Agency security team in Marsabit County, Eastern Kenya, continues to record great success in accomplishing its objective of restoring security and lasting peace in the area.
On Thursday, while on patrol, the security team received information that armed bandits had attacked herders and stolen six hundred cows.

The multi-agency team responded promptly and repulsed the bandits. All the cows were recovered and handed over to the owners.

"We thank the local communities for partnering with the security team and for volunteering information leading to the successful recovery," said the police.

In the near past, Marsabit was experiencing constant insecurity, forcing the government to deploy more security officers in the area.
