A Polish national was on Friday arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) while possessing Heroin worth Ksh3.2 million (US$217761).
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspect, Arkadiusz Stanislaw, 37, was nabbed by detectives before boarding a Hungary-bound Egyptian plane.
The suspect had stashed the substance in his luggage.

“The trafficker who was destined for Hungary’s capital (Budapest) has since been booked in police cells awaiting further processing and arraignment,” said the DCI.
Stanislaw’s arrest comes at a time when the Kenyan government is intensifying its assault on drug traffickers and unlicensed brewers to combat the country’s illicit commerce.
Ms Margaret Karanja, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, has warned traffickers and peddlers that they will face the full force of the law, regardless of their positions in the trade.
