President Uhuru Kenyatta has called off a meeting with Mt. Kenya leaders that was slated for March 18, 2022, at State House in Nairobi.
In a message sent to the leaders, Kenyatta said the cancelation was informed after a wide consultation and a new date will be communicated.
The meeting was to be attended by Governors, Senators, and MPs from the region. The agenda of the meeting was unknown.

“After wide consultations, I have deferred the meeting that was scheduled for tomorrow, Friday 18th March 2022, at Statehouse Nairobi, with MPs, Senators and Governors, from the Mt Kenya region, to a later date, which will be communicated to you, in due course,” said President Kenyatta.
