The Directorate of Criminal Investigations National Forensic Laboratory will be launched today by His Excellency, Hon Uhuru Kenyatta, CGH, President of the Republic of Kenya and the Commander In Chief of the Defence Forces.

The Forensic Laboratory is a world-class facility comparable to any in the developed world and across other established investigative institutions.

It will enhance our capacity to apply modern investigative techniques and cutting-edge science to law enforcement.

According to the National Police Service (NPS), the laboratory is the solution that the government, through NPS, has invested in.

The lab will provide a solution to make crime investigations effective and efficient.

"Criminal investigation shall never be the same again! Criminals are put on notice; they may run, but this time round, they wouldn't have anywhere to hide. All evidence shall come to live! The game-changer is courtesy of the DCI National Forensic Laboratory," said the NPS.
