Posta Rangers moved to the top of Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League after a 3-1 win over Sofapaka on Sunday.

Macharia Jackson gave Rangers the lead in the early second half before Peter Thiong’o scored a brace to seal all three points for his side.

Sofapaka’s only goal was scored by the substitute Oliver Maloba in the 77th minute.

The Rangers now lead the log with 7 points with three matches played since the 2023/2024 season began.

Defending champion Gor Mahia is in second place with 7 points but one goal less.

The 20-time Kenyan champions recorded a massive 4-1 over Nairobi City Stars.

Gor started scoring early when Omalla took advantage of a well-taken corner kick, then completed his double in the 29th minute with a header.

Rooney Onyango increased Gor’s lead just before the end of the first half.
City Star’s Dennis Oalo pulled one back in the 64th minute, but Austin Odhiambo quickly restored Gor’s three-goal gap.
