Safaricom and Star Times have collaborated to provide football fans across the country with a worry-free viewing experience of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 directly from their mobile devices.
Safaricom has introduced data bundles specifically tailored for AFCON viewers, ensuring continuous and uninterrupted streaming of the matches.
These include 1.5GB of data valid for 3 hours at Ksh50 and 1GB for 24 hours at Ksh99, providing full access to the ‘Star Times ON Mobile App’.
Additional data bundles include 1.5GB, valid for 7 days at Ksh199, and 2GB, valid for a month at Ksh299.
Star Times, on the other hand, will stream all AFCON games live on their ‘Star Times ON Mobile App’, allowing fans to catch every tournament moment and stay connected to the action no matter where they are.
This partnership will provide unlimited internet connections and unlimited access to matches and other exciting content via smartphone with the click of a button.
“Our goal at Safaricom has always been to offer more than just services – we strive to create experiences that resonate with our customers’ passions. With the AFCON 2023, we’re thrilled to bring football directly to the fans in a way that’s both innovative and accessible,” said Peter Ndegwa, CEO Safaricom.
“This collaboration with Star Times is, therefore, a testament to our dedication to providing customer-centric solutions.”
This year’s AFCON is hosted by Côte d’Ivoire in West Africa, with 24 African national teams battling to be crowned Kings of the continent.
