Kenyan Senate will resume its sittings on Tuesday at 2:30pm after a short recess that kicked off on 29 June 2023.
Among the items lined up on the Order Paper for discussion by members are the Community Health Services Bill sponsored by Homabay County Senator Moses Kajwang’, the Agricultural and Livestock Extension Services Bill by Sen. Tabitha Mutinda, the Start-Up Bill by Sen. Crystal Asige and the Mung Beans Bill sponsored by Kitui County Senator Enoch Wambua.
The Lawmakers will also debate the Persons with Disabilities Bill by Sen. Crystal Asige, the County Licensing (Uniform Procedure) Bill) sponsored by Sen. Mariam Omar, the Tea (Amendment) Bill by Sen. Wakili Hillary Sigei, the Konza Technopolis Bill by Sen. Gloria Orwoba and the County Boundaries Bill sponsored by Sen. Moses Kajwang’.
Several motions have also been listed for debate by the Senators, among them the motion on the Incorporation of Intelligent Water Management Systems in Building Plans for Sustainable Living and the one for Repossession of Movable Assets by Lending Institutions due to Non-Performing Loans both sponsored by Nyeri County Senator Wahome Wamatinga.
Further, the Legislators are scheduled to debate the motion on Arbitrary Arrests of Kenyan Fishermen by Ugandan Authorities sponsored by Siaya County Senator (Dr.) Oburu Oginga and Sen. Karen Nyamu’s Motion on Review of the Minimum Wage Necessitated by High Cost of Living.
