Shaba shooting competition kicks off in Samburu

Today, all roads lead to the Shaba Sports Shooting range in Samburu County, Kenya's Rift Valley, where the Kenya Sports Shooting Federation will stage a two-day shooting championship.

The tournament that has attracted participants from more than 100 countries will, for the first time, be opened to the public as the country seeks to introduce the game to members of the public.

"Professional shooters, including individual sleuths from DCI's elite Emergency Response Team (ERT), will be staging their spectacular performance at the range, sitting at the foot of various hills and ranges such as Shaba, Donyo Sabachi, Olkanjau, Digir Namunyak, Digir Lebendera among others," said the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

Shaba Game reserve, which is home to countless populations of elephants, lions, and gazelles, among other animals making it a perfect getaway for the weekend for fun lovers!
