The number of victims of a starvation cult in Kenya’s Shakahola forest has hit 419 after detectives exhumed 16 more bodies on Tuesday.
The bodies were discovered during the ongoing fourth phase of exhumation.
At the same time, no one was rescued, so the number of rescues still stands at 95.
According to the Coast Regional Commissioner Rhoda Onyancha, no arrests were made, meaning the number of those arrested remains 37.

She further revealed that at least 285 samples have been collected, and the process to identify the remaining bodies is ongoing.
The victims are the followers of controversial pastor Paul Mackenzie alleged to have brainwashed them to starve to death to see Jesus.
