Fifteen people have died following a grisly road accident at Twin Bridge Area along Nakuru-Eldoret Highway, Kenya’s Rift Valley.
According to the police, the 0245 hours incident involved a bus and matatu.
The injured were rushed to hospital for treatment as police launched investigations.
The incident comes just a few hours after three people died and several injured after vehicles collided head-on along Isinya-Kitengela Road, south of Nairobi.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the driver of the matatu attempted to overtake the stalled lorry but instead lost control and hit the said Lorry on the rear right, killing two passengers on the spot and the driver.
Other passengers sustained critical injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Earlier, another person died following the Narok-Bomet road accident. It also involved a head-on collision between a matatu and a lorry.
