One suspect has been arrested, and motor vehicles suspected of being stolen have been recovered in Eldoret, Kenya’s Rift Valley.
The suspect, Bethlemew Nabwire Ouma, 26, was arrested at his residence in Racecourse estate within Eldoret township.
Upon search of his residence, an assortment of items was recovered, including motor vehicle registration number plates, seven ignition keys, and three chassis plates, among others.
Ouma was believed to be involved in the crime, and all evidence was brought to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) offices in Kondele for further investigation by the police.
The operation was part of the ongoing effort to dismantle a car theft group in major urban areas across Kenya.
In the latest operation, DCI Kondele reported a stolen white Isuzu D-Max with the license plate KBN 206V. Hence, a joint team of DCI Kondele and DCI Turbo investigators took action.
