Detectives in Kenya have arrested a suspect possessing 252 bags of suspected stolen government fertilizer.
The Police reports indicated that the subsidized fertilizer was found hidden in a church in Narok, west of Nairobi.
The suspect, Robert Kipng’etich Bett alias Raphael, is alleged to be a farm manager employed by a Kericho-based businessman, Joseph Kiplangat Keter.

He was nabbed for being the custodian of the fertilizer found stored at the Grace Covenant Church.
The second suspect is alleged to have bought the fertilizer from a renowned dealer operating within the North Rift region and who has several previous cases.
Robert Bett was arraigned at the Milimani Courts in Nairobi and charged with conveying suspected stolen property.
He was released on a cash bail of Ksh500,000 ($3161) pending investigations.
The case will be heard on January 5, 2024.
