Suspected cattle robber arraigned in court

A notorious bandit who was arrested in connection with a series of cattle rustling incidents was arraigned in Nyahururu law courts on Monday.

Arupe Armarngole londengo was arrested by a security team in the Lolgos area, Kaptuya location in Tiaty Sub-Cunty. He is the face behind a series of livestock raids within Lonyek areas of Laikipia County, Kenya’s Rift Valley.

Another bandit, Longor Ewoi, who was arrested at Kalemngorok ward in Turkana South Sub-county, northern Kenya, will be arraigned in Lokichar mobile law courts today. He has been behind a spate of robberies and livestock raids within the area and its environs.

During the clearance patrol conducted by security agencies, a herd of the remaining cattle stolen from Ol Moran in Laikipia County by Pokot bandits was recovered in the Amaya location and surrendered to their owners.

Security teams under the multi-agency banner have intensified both proactive and reactive patrols.
