Police on January 1, 2023, arrested a suspected robber who has been mugging and robbing residents of Nakuru, northwest of Nairobi.
The suspect was nabbed following a tip-off from public members.
“Police officers from Nakuru West Sub County received information from members of the public that a most wanted person suspected of being involved in several incidences of robbery and mugging has been spotted,” said the National Police Service (NPS).
“The officers responded swiftly and proceeded to Jasho Area within Kaptembwo and successfully managed to pursue and arrest the suspect,” added NPS.
Upon searching, he was found in possession of a dagger suspected to have been used in the course of committing crimes.
“We thank members of the public for providing information that led to the arrest of the suspect,” reiterated NPS.
