Detectives have arrested three suspects allegedly stealing motorcycles in Kenya and selling them to a neighbouring country in a well-coordinated criminal scheme.
Posing as a pillion passenger, the detectives arrested Agnes Wambui, believed to be the bait used to attract the boda boda riders.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Wambui has been stupefying her victims along the way before disappearing with the motorbikes once the riders lose consciousness.

After her arrest, Wambui led the detectives to her other accomplices, Daniel Mwaniki and William Nkadanyo.
Detectives recovered stolen mobile phones from the suspects, including one stolen from a motorbike rider, who was stupefied before he lost his bike in Juja, Kiambu County, Central Kenya.
Over 30 tablets believed to be stupefying drugs were also recovered from the suspects.
“The suspects have pending criminal cases in Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County and in Diani, Kwale County,” said DCI.
Reports indicate that motorcycles are stolen in various towns in the country before being ferried to Loitoktok, a town at the Kenya-Tanzania border, where they are sneaked across the border.
