Three Police Killed During Attack In Turkana Laid To Rest
Three out of eight police officers who lost their lives during a cowardly attack on their patrol vehicle in Riet, Turkana County, northern Kenyan, were laid to rest on Monday.
The late Constable Boniface Muthini Mutiso and Constable Benson Macharia Njira were both laid to rest at their respective homes in Kirinyaga County, Central Kenya.
The late PC Eric Kipchirchir Rugut was interred at their home in Uasin Gishu County, Rift Valley.
The three officers served diligently under the General Service Unit with honour and pride until their demise.
“The NPS is indeed grateful for their service and regrets their untimely demise, which is not only a loss to the National Police Service and their loved ones, but also to the country,” read part of a statement released by the National Police Service (NPS).
“We wish their families, friends, and relatives strength in this difficult period. May their souls rest in eternal peace,” added NPS.
