Training on security management and sensitization kicks off at DCI academy

In preparation for the 2022 General Elections, the National police service, in collaboration with Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) and Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, commenced a one-week training at DCI Academy, Nairobi.

The joint training, sponsored by International Justice Mission (IJM), is a partnership that seeks to sensitize commanders and interest groups on the management of election security.

It is also meant to enhance police professionalism and service delivery during the forthcoming General elections.

The training that kicked off on 23rd May 2022 brought together sub-county commanders and station commanders drawn from different stations and other officers from National Youth Service, Kenya Forest Service, Kenya Wildlife Service, Kenya Prisons and DCI and Traffic officers all from Nairobi Region.
